The new SSAT manual consists of a comprehensive set of practical assessment tasks aligned with the CIALN courses. The SSAT is extremely useful for assessing and compiling evidence of student learning outcomes achieved. It is also a very useful teaching guide for teachers and volunteers as it contains numerous practical examples of the type of initial literacy and numeracy study activities students may undertake at this level. The new SSAT uses hundreds of real life photo images to support learning and assessments. A comprehensive student phonics and spelling workbook is included as an attachment.
